With economic globalization and the rapid development of related technology,Chinese construction machinery industry has entered a new stage of development,and with the increasingly sophisticated market economy, Chinese constructionmachinery industry formed a fierce competitive situation, the enterprise can’ trelying on higher production efficiency、 good enough product quality to getmarket competitive advantage any more. At this moment if who canunderstanding and guide the customer’s requirements, and provide products tomeet customer’s demand at the first time, who will win the market and wincompetitive advantage position, so the manufacturing companies have increasedefforts to study the market demand and new product development, accelerateproduct innovation and upgrading.Integrated Product Developmen(tIPD)is a products development model whichbased on customer’s requirements,through multi department group cooperated asproject group to launch the suitable products.IPD control the new productsdevelopment as a kind of investment behavior through review the decision pointof the new product development process, and to achieve interaction of theinvestor and the promiser, making the controlled resource inputs step by step, notonly to meet the progress needs of the project, but also to avoid the risk ofinvestment runaway, all the advantages making IPD the world’s leading newproduct development model to become the first choice of many manufacturingenterprises.In this article will introduce IPD start from the concepts of research ofcustomer needs, product development, process, first a brief introduction of theIPD related theories and case studies national and international; then use FuJianSouth highway Machinery Co., Ltd. as a example, detailed introduce the processof engineering construction machinery enterprises adopt IPD system, conduct acomprehensive analysis and evaluation of the internal and external conditions ofenterprises, according to the characteristics of enterprises and products compile IPD process architecture、 templates and operational guidance documents ofeach stages and each node, summarize and analysis the running situation ofNFLG’s IPD system. expound organizational structure, key activities,commonly used analytical tools and measure index of Integrated ProductDevelopment Management System, Concluded NFLG ‘s experience and harvestof implement IPD, FuJian South highway Machinery Company integratedproduct development model and process management system applicationssupport the company’s rapid growth and international expansion, have made afundamental improvement in the product development cycle, product quality,cost, response to customers’ demand, the comprehensive competitiveness ofproducts, transition from dependence on individual heroism come to rely onmanagement system to provide competitive quality products. summarized the keypoints of manufacturing enterprises to implement IPD, provide reference for thecompany implemented or planning implement integrated product developmentmanagement system.
