With the development of market economy, credit is becoming increasingly vitalin the market. Individual credit rating plays a fundamental and core role in promotingthe credit system construction. University students are part of the individuals whoare high-quality and well educated, whose credit rating have a great significance.This study conducted with empirical method, taking the university students in Yunnanas the respondents, and collected the data though more than1000questionnaires andapplied structural equation model to analyze the factors affecting university students’credit.This thesis begins with elaborating the connotation and denotation of universitystudents’ credit evaluation, then analyzed its concepts and features and comparedstructural equation method with other methods. By reading the relevant materials andsummarizing the credit theory, this paper explained university students’ creditevaluation by seven factors and designed questionnaire on the basis of these factors.Secondly, in order to screen indexes, this thesis used SPSS software to analyzequestionnaire’s reliability and validity. Cranach’s Alpha coefficient was applied toanalyze the reliability of the questionnaire and factor analysis method was used to testthe validity of the questionnaire. During the factor analyzing process,the factorswith high contribution ratio are extracted by using principal component extractionmethod. Meanwhile, a new structural equation model was gotten by deleting somequestions of rotating component matrix. Then, AMOS was conducted to make a fittinganalysis on constructed model. After continuous commissioning and model updating,a simplified structural equation model was gotten, Which is,university students’credit evaluation should include learning credit evaluation, economic credit rating,life credit rating.At last, the effects was analyzed of learning credit evaluation, economic creditrating, life credit rating on the university students’ credit evaluation and also theeffects of every screened question on these three factors. Based on the affectingfactors, this paper also gave some effective suggestions of how to build universitystudents’ credit files and credit information sharing platform.
