Abstract: Construction of rural settlements is in a spontaneous and disorderedenvironment with lack of effective policies and regulatory constraints and supervision.The rural settlements are in poor environmental conditions with irrational layoutstructure, scattered sites and other notable disadvantages. The evaluation of thecomprehensive benefits of rural residential land can objectively reflect the situation ofrural residential land. The study of the potential release pattern and timing based on thiscan promote the development of rural residential land towards the scientific, rationaland intensive direction, optimize layout structure, improve farmers’ living conditions,ease the contradiction between people and coordinate urban and rural developmentUnder this background, this study follows the basic principle of land remediation.On the one hand, it builds the comprehensive evaluation system of rural residential landand carries out the evaluation on the comprehensive benefits of rural residential land.On the other hand, it analyzes the potential of rural residential land, and the combinationdraws a conclusion of the order layout of potential release of rural residential land.
