Mingxiao Orientation: A New Development Concept

For the reality that some development concepts from the west are floodlyabused in China at present, the author proposes Mingxiao Orientation, a developmentconcept based on Chinese culture. Starting with interpretation of the concept, theauthor builds a theoretical framework for Mingxiao Orientation, and makes apreliminary study on its comprehensive application.According to author’s definition, what the development concept MingxiaoOrientation means is to extend human life, promote human health, enhance thequantity and quality of material and spiritual enjoyment, balancely enjoy a better life,follow the development law of history and society, and be in line with the direction ofhuman progress. Based on the connotation, the author constructs a systematictheoretical framework, which takes the stereo motion society as its logical startingpoint and depends on the support by the theory of hierarchy of needs, Pareto optimaltheory, Huntington’s political theory and Stiglitz’s theory of relationship betweengovernment and market. The theoretical framework consists of three main theories,the first is Mingxiao Orientation Demand Theory, the second is Mingxiao OrientationStructure Theory and the third is Mingxiao Orientation Movement Theory. The firstmain theory contains Demand Attribute Force Nest Theory and Demand Type GroupOrdering Theory, the second main theory contains Structure Class Theory, StructureMorphology Theory and Structure Stability Theory, the third main theory containsIndividual Motion Theory and Whole Movement Theory.In the end of the paper, the author preliminarily studies the MingxiaoOrientation Theory in comprehensive application. The author highly summarizes theused scope and function of the Mingxiao Orientation Theory, then abstracts thesummary into a simplified comprehensive application model. Taking Chineseurbanization as example, the author successfully tests the model, naturally claimingthat maybe the Mingxiao Orientation Theory will be a great theory.
