Evaluation And Research On Science And Technology Competitiveness Of Counties Of Hunan

With the development of economic globalization, the development andimprovement of science and technology is a crucial factor for a country’scomprehensive national strength, the competition between countries has become acompetition of technology. Sustained and rapid development of modern society andeconomy is largely dependent on the development of science and technology, sotechnological innovation is increasingly becoming the inherent power of each countryor region’s economic, social, cultural and other aspects of development, but also aimportant condition of country’s overall competitiveness for development. Thedevelopment of technology provided a better platform for innovation, thetechnological innovation made effective use of science and technology and shortenthe recycling cycle of technology.Only by grasping the productivity of science andtechnology, and strive to improve the level of scientific and technological innovation,a country could gain the initiative place in the international competitive environment.In this era background, the technological competitiveness has become animportant indicator for measure of economic strength of a country or region, but alsoone of the important factors of affecting the sustainable economic development. Theacademia has launched a series of discussion and empirical research on technologicalcompetitiveness, this paper tries to investigate and study the status of the developmentof science and technology competitiveness range from county Hunan, the content ofthe study lies in the following points:(1)The theoretical basis of evaluation on science and technology competitivenessof Counties of Hunan province. This paper tries to lay a solid theoretical foundationfor the evaluation of science and technology competitiveness of County of Hunanthrough the in-depth analysis on technological competitiveness and regional scientificand basic theory, and the related concept of evaluation on science and technologycompetitiveness.(2) The SWOT analysis on science and technology competitiveness of County ofHunan.This paper tries to objectively reflect the status of Hunan Science andTechnology competitiveness and pointed out the exist threats and opportunities fortechnological development in Hunan through making detailed analysis on competitivestrengths and weaknesses in terms of technological development in Hunan province. (3) The evaluation index system of science and technology competitiveness ofcounty of Hunan. According to the characteristics of on technological competitivenessof County, Hunan Province,and learn the evaluation index of other related fields ofscience and technology competitiveness, select the index system which suitable forthe evaluation of science and technology competitiveness of County of Hunan, andthe index system finally. Determined after much discussion launched by experts.(4) An empirical study on technological competitiveness of the County of Hunan.This paper verified the rationality of the evaluation index system of science andtechnology competitiveness of county of Hunan, and proposed countermeasures andsuggestions for the development of science and technology of the county, HunanProvince, taking the counties under this fourteen cities in Hunan like Chenzhou,Yongzhou, Hengyang, Loudi, Huaihua, Shaoyang, Changde, Xiangxi state,Zhangjiajie, Yiyang, Yueyang, Xiangtan, Changsha, Zhuzhou as the research object.
