Land is a nature complex which has very close relationship with human, whetherin the past or in the future it plays the role in the carrier of human activity. The historyof human civilization can be confirmed from the evolution course of land use ways.Land consolidation is a land use way whose main task is to ease the contradictionbetween people and land. Land consolidation development in our country is later thanforeign countries, but it has a good momentum of development. However, It is worthnoting that the main form of China’s land consolidation is large and small landconsolidation projects, The implementers of these projects always lay particular stresson the economic and social benefits of the project, ignoring the ecological benefits. Itis very necessary to study the assessment of ecological benefit on land consolidation,it will have great significance on the scientific management and implementation ofland consolidation project. This study is based on learning the results of previous studies, it uses the basictheory and basic principles method of ecological benefit evaluation as a guide, combining the implementation of rural land consolidation project in Changji City inrecent years, according to the characteristics of the project to build the evaluationindex system, to evaluate and study the ecological benefits of consolidation project. This paper research the ecological evaluation of land arrangement in Dianba,Erliugoing and Daqiqu villages by using the method of combing qualitative andquantitative analysis, selecting the qualitative and quantitative evaluation means, using GIS tools to get value. After the research we get the following conclusions: TheThree rural land consolidation projects implemented in2010-2013in Changji reallyimproved conditions for agricultural production and improved the quality of farmland, and the ecological benefits are better than before. These issues need to continue to explore:1.Selecting the appropriate evaluationand establishing a reasonable indicator system are the key and difficulties of theevaluation work.2.This method integrating subjective and objective weights isapplied in the actual evaluation work needs a lot of practice to verify thesuitability.3.All evaluation is difficult to quantify and it has an impact on the accuracyof the results. In future work, we need to increase research on the theory andtechniques to identify some more scientific and objective evaluation methods.
