By collecting and arranging related literatures and data of agricultural transgenictechnology development in China and foreign countries, and through national food security,the dissertation analyzes current existing problems from aspects such as the security oftransgenic food, related technical patents of transgenic crops and Chinese supervision ontransgenic technology and food, as well as ordinary consumers’ right to know and right ofchoice. The dissertation illustrates that facing industrialization of transgenic staple food, nomatter Chinese government or citizens haven’t prepared well. Meanwhile, the dissertationprovides the outlet of Chinese national food security at current stage is to transform landsystem instead of transgenic technology.Except the introduction, the dissertation can be divided into four parts. The first partintroduces related concepts and connotations of national food security, as well as currentsituation of Chinese food security. The second part presents agricultural transgenictechnology and its development situation, as well as arguments about transgenic technology.The third part discusses possible risks of transgenic staple food industrialization with respectto food security and environmental security. The fourth part provides suggestions for dealingwith possible transgenic staple food industrialization.
