The Driving Mechanism Of Regional Economic Synergistic Development In China: Based On Haken Model

In recent years, regional economic pattern in China is transforming from singlegrowth pole to multi growth poles, which means that regional economic synergisticdevelopment in China has reached new level. Also, Synergetics connotation ofgovernment strategic policy has raised wide concentration on regional economicsynergistic development. As the basic theory of regional economic synergisticdevelopment, Synergetics is credible in explaining economic phenomenon and Hakenmodel, an important model of Synergetics, is of interdisciplinary innovation and greatapplicability. Moreover, regional economic synergistic development system hasdissipative structure characteristics. Thus, based on Synergetics and DissipativeStructure theory, Haken model is used to recognize the order parameter of regionaleconomic synergistic development in two stages(1992-2001and2002-2011), aimingat discussing the driving mechanism of regional economic synergistic evolution inChina.Firstly, Synergetics and Dissipative Structure theory are used to analyze theconnotation and characteristics of regional economic synergistic development as wellas its driving mechanism which is the synergistic operation among the three drivingfactors: regional comparative advantage (RCA), regional economic relation (RER),regional industrial division (RID). Secondly, Haken model is introduced from threeaspects: adiabatic approximation, order parameter evolution equation, potentialfunction. Haken model building in regional economic synergistic development andvariables are explained also. Thirdly, the model is used to find the order parameterfrom the three above-mentioned driving forces of regional economic synergisticdevelopment in China based on the panel data of29provinces in last t wo decades(1992-2001&2002-2011). Model results show: the order parameter of regionaleconomic synergistic development in China has changed from regional comparativeadvantage (RCA) in the first stage to regional comparative advantage (RCA) andregional industrial division (RID) in the second stage, reflecting better regionaleconomic synergistic development; moreover, several conclusions are givenaccording to the comparison of the observed two decades: regional economic relationhas been intensified and market segmentation has improved, indicating superiorenvironment of regional economic synergistic development; regional economic synergistic development level in China has risen from primary level to intermediatelevel; first-mover advantage in eastern area has been weaken while the advantage ofbackwardness in central and western area has just appeared, also, the gradientdifference among the three area has reduced.
