Construction Strategy Of Yantai Municipal Government Export Of Agricultural Products Quality And Safety Demonstration Area

Yantai’s exports of agricultural products account for nearly1/16of those of China. Valuing agricultural products’quality safety and expanding exports of agricultural products could improve the competitiveness of them and the national physical quality. This means a lot for China to set up a responsible great nation image among the international community. However, there are many problems with China’s agricultural products-the scale of farmers is small and scattered, the processing and marketing links are complex, the marketing system of agricultural chemical inputs is not complete, the laws about agricultural safety are inadequate, the standards of agricultural products are incomplete, the quality supervision of the products is not enough and so on. Agricultural insecurity incidents often occur across the nation and exports are often forbidden by foreign technical barriers. Yantai’s agricultural and animal products once experienced imports restriction by developed countries, due to quality problems.Therefore, highlighting the dominant position of the government and playing the role of leading enterprises are significant. Also, agricultural producers need to set up professional institutions and strength primary agricultural quality management by laws and administration supervision.This essay emphasizes on "Quality safety demonstration area of exported agricultural products". It combines various research methods such as document literature, comparative analysis, research analysis, personal interview and so on. Yantai’s methods and experiences as well as the advanced experiences of developed countries, Weihai and Shouguang city in promoting the quality safety demonstration area are analyzed. In the essay, defects of Yantai’s demonstration area are found and methods to make the area perfect are raised. This article includes the following six aspects:strength the linking system of various parts to clear barriers for deepening the development of the area; promote brand building of the area to increase the popularity of Yantai’s agricultural products; improve the construction of quality safety traceability system to ensure effective control of agricultural products; enhance government supervision of chemical inputs to decrease safety risks; improve supervision system of quality safety and manage infringements by laws to advance safety levels of agricultural products in order to let every citizen enjoy safe products.
