Research On The Development Zones Development And Urban Spatial Structure Evolution In Shanghai

Since China’s reform and opening-up, the economy and society rapidly developing, city spatial structure in order to meet the need of the city development also keep rapidly dynamic evolution, the development zone is one of the most active space unit in the process of evolution. At first, the development zone as an important part of the policy of reform and opening up, but later it gradually evolved into the most powerful tool for local government leading the city space, its space layout construction and development with land function replacement, economic factor reorganization, population flow, play a catalytic, driving effect on the evolution of the city spatial structure. City spatial structure and evolution of this effect shows Development Zone significantly oriented. In this paper, from the perspective of city geography and city planning, based on the30years of reform and development, taking Shanghai as an example of empirical research, studied the important factor of promoting the city spatial structure evolution-Development Zone, is committed to explore the evolution mode of urban spatial structure under the guidance of Shanghai Development Zone. The full text is divided into eight chapters. The first chapter mainly introduces the background and significance of the topic, research content, method and framework, innovation of the research and the definition of related concepts. The second chapter is literature review, mainly about the related research on the life cycle development zone, development zone with urbanization and city space structure, transformation of development zones, and analyzed the shortcomings of the research and the prospects for future research. The third chapter to the seventh chapter is the main part of the paper. The third chapter is a general review of the establishment and development of the Shanghai Development Zone, divided into1984-1989,1990-1999,2000-three stages, and study characteristics of zone size, type, site selection and space structure in the different development phases. The fourth chapter to the sixth chapter analysis the Development Zone on the evolution of city spatial structure function from two aspects and the role of formal effect, the city space structure is divided into the industrial spatial structure, population, space structure and space form, the three part elaborates respectively. The fourth chapter analyzes the development zone and urban industry space structure, points out that the development zones through acceptance and absorption of industries, industrial cluster development and industry upgrading under the guidance of service transformation three forms play a role, guiding the city industrial space to suburbanization, parks, cluster, integration and network, and summarizes the Development Zone’s guidance of city industry spatial evolution patterns. The fifth chapter analyzes development zone and the space of city population structure, points out that the development zones through the population urbanization, employment engine population absorbing and the selection of population oriented professional guide play the role to promote the city space structure of population suburbanization and the spatial differentiation. The sixth chapter analyzes development zone’s role on the evolvement of urban form, points out that the development zone through the rapid city construction, specialized functional zone, multi pole jumping in the suburban space distribution and its spatial structure evolution, promote the rapid growth of city space, morphology evolution, from single center to multi center, suburban fragmentary space to area neat and the new form of city edge and industrial town or city. The seventh chapter in the perspective of the government, enterprises, people to analysis the mechanism of the development zone development and the city spatial structure evolution, including action mechanism of government, enterprise,people and the background. The eighth chapter is the summary of this thesis, mainly drawing the city spatial structure evolution model of Shanghai oriented by Development Zone development based on the summary of the research results, and the shortcomings of the research are analyzed and the future research direction is prospected.
