Evaluation Of Regional Innovation Capacity Of Wenzhou City

Regional innovation capability is an important driving force of regional economic development, but also an important focus of the implementation of innovation-driven strategy. Wenzhou has a solid industrial base, and the overall economic and social development of the fundamentals is good, but because of the weak innovation capacity,economic development potential is clearly insufficient. In recent years, the city’s GDP growth rate lagged behind the provincial average, the third position economy of Zhejiang Province has become precarious. How to evaluat Wenzhou’s regional innovation capacity more objective and accurate in order to put forward proposals, has a strong practical urgency and significance. In this paper,based on the purpose and direction of the study.Firstly, this paper introduces the theory of regional innovation, to make the definition of regional innovation capability, and consider regional innovation ability mainly consists of regional innovation investment capacity, regional innovation output capacity, regional innovation conversion capability, regional innovation environment and regional innovation performance in five aspects.Combined with the principles of evaluation index system constructed on this basis, select related indicators data in2012of11cities in Zhejiang province science and technology innovation, on the basis of discrimination analysis, to determine the evaluation index system of regional innovation capability. Then by using the SPSS19.0software, by the method of factor analysis to five sub regional innovation capability of Wenzhou city was evaluated, and then make a comprehensive evaluation of the total.In th comprehensive evaluation,fristyl work out the score of regional innovation ability of Wenzhou city and ranking in the provice by factor analysis,then further prove the correctness of the results of factor analysis by cluster analysis.Analysis results show that, regional innovation ability of Wenzhou city in the province although the ranking is in front, but compared with other cities of the province, there are still many weak links.The last part of the article puts forward the countermeasures and suggestions for improving regional innovation ability of Wenzhou City, for the relevant government departments with reference to the formulation of relevant policies.
