The Structure Of Regional Innovation Network And The Influence On Innovation Capability

Under the globalization and knowledge economy background, the world economic development emerges regional characteristics sensibly. Innovation capacity becomes the one of key factors for the economy of a country and a specific region. It’s the current research focus that promote regional innovation capability by optimizing the structure of the regional innovation network, and achieving mutual interaction and cooperation between subjects in the network. Under this context, the paper based on innovative network theory studies the effect between the structure of the regional innovation network and the regional innovation capability.Through the research results and related literatures, the paper summarizes the definition of regional innovation networks;secondly, we divide the structure of regional innovation network from two dimensions, including order attribute、intensity、breadth、betweeness, further analysis the impact of the four structural characteristics and regional innovation capability. Based on the above theoretical analysis, we construct the index system of the structure of regional innovation network. Using factor analysis, we obtain the four scores and overall scores and the results show that East-Mid-West has distinct regional difference in China. The eastern provinces depend on their high levels of knowledge and technology and their advantage of economic development, showing their high scores. Finally, we research the effect of the structure of regional innovation network on regional innovation capability by using analysis of variance, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis. The analysis results show that the statue of subjects is not related to regional innovation capability, and intensity, network openness, structural holes can obviously improve the regional innovation capability.Domestic scholars tend to focus on the construction of regional innovation networks, operating mechanism within the network and innovation performance. In this article, we render structure of regional innovation network as independent variables to study its relationship with the regional innovation capability. The paper creates outstanding theoretical basis and foundation.
