ABSTRACT:In this paper, we choose construction enterprises as the research object. Through extensive literature review and case studies, it built internal knowledge transfer model and pointed out several important factors which affected knowledge transfer in construction companies based on social network theory. Firstly, this paper gave some definition such as the concepts of construction enterprise and knowledge transfer, and identified the types and characteristics of construction enterprises’ knowledge, which laid the foundation for the followling research. Secondly, a field survey was taken during the research. And according to the result, this paper divided common konwledge transfer modes into three types, including interpersonal communication, document coding and institution. Meanwhile, this paper considered there are four knowledge transfer processes in construction enterprise, which included knowledge transfer between individuals, from individuals to the enterprise, from enterprise to individuals as well as between project teams. Thirdly, based on the core idea of SECI model, this paper analyzed the above processes from four stages, socialization, externalization, combination, internalization respectively. Next, from the perspective of social network theory, this paper illustrated the influence of some factors on the way of knowledge transfer from aspects of network nodes, network relation, network structure. Then, this paper carried out an empirical study, and verified the characteristics of knowledge transfer social network in construction enterprise. At last, this paper put forward some recommendations in order to improve the efficiency of knowledgetransfer and enhance project management level.
