With the steady development of national economy, China has been in rapidurbanization stage and the development of many urban new areas has been rising. Actas a role of reducing transaction cost and promoting regional competition, logistics isthe important support of urbanization and it pushes the development of urban new areas.To those urban new areas with coastline resources, port logistic park is the highest layerof logistic nodes of logistic network system in urban new areas. It has many advantagesin alleviating traffic jam, decreasing environment pressure and improving logisticsoperation efficiency. Therefore, the reasonable location of port logistic park hasimportant significance.Fist, this dissertation starts with influencing factors on location of port logistic parkand makes comprehensive and intensive analysis of various influencing factors frommacro and medium perspective, so as to establish the index system of influencingfactors, which consists of5main factors and18sub factors. Furthermore, thisdissertation collects the specification requirements of port logistic park location fromrelevant documents.Then, the most important part of this dissertation is to establish the location modelof port logistic park. The first step is to establish location index model based on AHP.This dissertation extracts specific11location factors from18sub factors. Then itestablishes3-layers index model of port logistic park location, and calculates the totalweight of11location factors. The second step is to establish location spatial modelbased on GIS. It describes the spatial analyst models of the port logistic park location,including neighborhood analysis, distance analysis, reclassification and raster calculator.The third step is to realize the combination between AHP and GIS. It makes quantitativeanalysis about11location factors by reference of the specification requirements fromrelevant documents. Then it points out that combining AHP with GIS is to overlaylayers by raster calculator according to the total weight of11location factors.Finally, this dissertation takes example of Chongqing Liangjiang New Area, makesuse of data resources of Liangjiang New Area, and implements port logistic parklocation of Liangjiang New Area based on ArcGIS10.0platform according to totalweight and quantitative analysis of11location factors. As a result, it obtains three satisfactory locations which locate in the neighborhood of Cuntan Port and GuoyuanPort separately. Practice shows that the location method and quantitative standard arescientific and reasonable.The innovation of this dissertation is combining AHP method with GIS to establishlocation model. It solves some problems about blind decision in port logistic parklocation and about lacking of practical operation in previous research. Other innovationsinclude implementing quantitative analysis of planning factor, the comprehensivenessof the location index, the collection of the specification requirements of port logisticpark location, and so on.
