Development Strategy Of Chenglingji Port Logistics Park In Yueyang

As a high-end form of the development of the logistics industry, Logistics Parkcan achieve a variety of transport modes, logistics facilities and logistics enterprises ina particular place on the assembly. It can also effectively reduce logistics costs andimprove logistics efficiency. Since2009, the State Council issued a series of policiessuch as logistics industry restructuring and revitalization plan. The development of thelogistics industry and the construction of the Logistics Park in China have receivedextensive attention from the community. Currently, many regions have built logisticsparks and the construction of those logistics parks has entered a booming period.Yueyang Chenglingji Port Logistics Park which is located in Middle Yangtze Riverhas a unique geographical advantage and traffic advantages. It does not play a vitalrole on economic development of Yueyang area but also Hunan Province, and evenplays an important role on the economic development of Central China.However, theconstruction of the logistics park is a long and complex project. It has a large numberof investment long capital recovery cycle and need to be particularly careful.Chenglingji Port as the typical inland port in China, to be targeted and directionalresearch is very little.This paper regards Yueyang Chenglingji Port Logistics Park asresearch object, using SWOT analysis method. It analyses strengths, weaknesses,opportunities and threats of its internal and external operation and positions strategybased on these four aspects. Then learning from Germany MSFLB model, it proposesfunction design, layout design and business plan for the implementation of thestrategy program of Chenglingji Logistics Park. Finally, it put forwards strategyimplementation of safeguards for Chenglingji Logistics Park from supplies, personnel,policy, organization, institution and ecology.This paper argues that Chenglingji Port Logistics Park should be developed into:Using locational advantage of Yueyang and Chenglingji Port, it forms an integratedport logistics park with petroleum products, renewable resources, electricity,machinery, iron and steel, ores, hazardous goods as featured supplies; containerbusiness, freight forwarding, bonded warehousing, export processing and otherlogistics activities as special logistics business; providing customers with logistics andsupply chain solutions including the whole process of logistics services such aswarehousing, transportation, distribution, transit, trade, financial, information services;setting one modern port logistics park with storage, transportation, trade, distribution,distribution processing activities.
