Being with the development of global economy, world tourism witnesses a rapid growth as well as an increasingly perfect market. At the same time, tourists’ touring experiences are becoming increasingly rich, which makes tourism demands accordingly transforming from traditional sightseeing-oriented form to experiencing-oriented form; that means, tourists are to seek more cultural elements that involved in the issue. As a high level of culture tourism, folklore tourism, can not only meet the psycho logic of knowledge, innovation and the prophet, but participation and experienced folk activity, making the tourists in imperceptible enjoy the destination of the unique culture. Henan folklore tourism resources are very rich; the tourism market has much development capacity.But this kind of tourism resource development is more difficult, interest is low, the lack of protection consciousness and so on. According to these main problems of Henan characteristic folklore tourism resources,launched the survey of folklore tourism resources and classification, and the most important work is researching the problems of Henan characteristic folklore tourism development and protection and putting forward a concrete protective development strategy.On the basis of research living of folk culture, the essay analyzed the problems in the process to modernization of folk culture in Henan Province.The first part is the introduction, which introduces research background, current situation, significance of folk culture in Henan.
