Research On Risk Factors’ Assessment And Prevention Of Third Party Logistics Enterprises’ FTW Business

Abstract:Finance, transport and warehouse (FTW) is a good way to resolve the financing difficulties of SMEs. Due to the important role of third party logistic enterprises in the dual agency relationship of FTW, it is important to study the risk factors of third party logistic enterprises’ FTW.By literature research and expert interview, we build our evaluation index system of third party logistics enterprises’FTW. Environmental risks, pledged property risk, customer credit risk, internal control risk and assessment risk are the key risk factors for third party logistics enterprises’ FTW. Questionnaire investigation method was used to get the data, and SPSS17.0, LISERL8.70are used to analyze the271valid questionnaires. Among all the identified risk factors, pledged property risk impacts the third party logistics enterprises’FTW most, followed by the customer credit risk, internal control risk, environmental risk and assessment risk,Property option risk and property market price fluctuations impact pledged property risk bigger. Customers’financial status and customer management ability have a great impact on customer credit risk. Information risk management facilities and warehouse receipt influence internal control risks bigger. The credit degree of financial institutions and government regulation are the major factors for environmental risks. Assessment process risk and assessment technology risk are the major factors for assessment risk.Third party logistics enterprises can take kinds of method to prevent the risk, such as strengthen the management and selection strategy, set storage cordon, insure the warehouse receipt and pledged property, as well as improve regulatory inputs etc.
