EPC is a mature model and is widely used in construction industry in developed countries. But in China, EPC is relatively a new lease of life. Now it is adopted only in a few types of projects.Despite of this, EPC becomes popular when contact with other fields as a new model, from the point of view of employer, EPC helps him release from the fussy work of project management and focus on important matters; From the point of view of project management, EPC makes all participator more responsible, so the quality can be more easily ensured; from the point of view of general contractor, EPC gives him the chance to earn more profit, however, when the project managing not in good order, staff will avoid doing practical work considering their own interest. Employer’s bad organizing ability and immense profit demand also hinder the well function of the EPC. Its essential to develop EPC in our oil industry. However, the same knife cuts bread and fingers, the risk of integrated services leads to instability and variability in operation that brings up more issues to be solved.This dissertation based on deep analysis of EPC model in oil industry, in connection with the gas transmission line of HN province, research the design, purchase and construction one after another. First of all, by selecting the design company makes a detailed analysis of the4tenders according to "code for design of gas transmission pipeline engineering"(GB50251-2003). landform, terrain, traffics, humane and planning condition of the region determine the design of the trend and size of the pipeline and the suitable spare parts etc. then, budget the date and compile the technical specifications. Choose suppliers and schedule the distribution, eventually carry out the conduction of each tender in associate with the project management. the newest case of the field provide resource for analyzing EPC managing format on the purpose of seeking the most suitable one. The project is comment through the phase’s analysis of X project. The practical research will detect the problems and find ways to handle them. This dissertation will be helpful to ensure well-ordered management of EPC model in oil industry.
