Research For Industrialization And Urbanization Via A Harmonious Manner Of Leshan City’s Shawan District

Industrialization and urbanization are subject which we, as a nation, are currently and will for the foreseeable future, be actively engaged in tackling for a resolution. As discretely carved out by the "Twelve-Five Principle"; we must be resolute to stride down the path of a new mode of industrialization with an emphasis on Chinese-specific features, and to develop industrialization and urbanization via a harmonious manner. This principle in turn, guides us in a clear direction. The subject explored by this paper is the industrialization and urbanization under the new mode at the Leshan City’s Shawan District, and therefore, the areas of exploration of this paper will include the examination of the current state of industrialization and urbanization at the Leshan City Shawan District, problems faced during their development, and methods of resolution applicable to the aforementioned problems.The District of Shawan is an important industrial district with a high degree of industrialization. As such, the exploration of whether its industrialization and urbanization process are developing harmoniously and the analysis of whether a supplemental/resonation effect exists between the two aforementioned elements can provide as references to the positive developments of other counties, and can be of great value to the harmonious development of industrialization and urbanization of the counties under the new mode.In2011, for the first time, China has surpassed the50%urbanization threshold, which implies that the number of urban citizens has exceeded that of rural citizens, and which in turn is an indication that the country has treaded into a stage of fast paced urbanization, and the beginning of an urbanization process under the new mode. While on path of the urbanization process under the new mode, whether urbanization and industrialization can co-develop healthily is the key to the success of urbanization in China. As such, this article selected the harmonious development of industrialization and urbanization of Leshan’s Shawan district as an example to conduct research in. This paper is divided into six sections. The foremost and the second section set the stage by exposing detailed explanation on the background information, topic selection and related information. The third section contains the main content of the paper, which introduces the details of the current state of urbanization development of the Shawan district under the new mode, and as well as utilizing judgment methods based on experience to produce analysis on the harmony level of the interwork between the district’s urbanization and industrialization. The fourth section pits the actual circumstances of Shawan district against its urbanization and industrialization to perform the SWOT analysis. The fifth section cites advanced modern urbanization examples from within China herself and abroad alike. And last but not least, the final section, by combining all of the above with actual research, attempts to identify issues in the interwork and harmony level currently faced by Shawan’s urbanization and industrialization development under the new mode, and to propose constructive recommendations against each issue.Based on thorough research and investigation of the urbanization and industrialization under the new mode of the Shawan district, this paper strives to provide constructive and beneficial references and suggestions related to the development of the district.
