The Impacts Of City Functions’evolvement To Spatial Relationship Between Industry And City Which Based On The Integration Of Industrialization And Urbanization

Implementing the integration of industrialization and urbanization suggests that to maintain the sustainable development of cities, drive the modernization process cannot rely on the development of the industry alone. We must further consider the relationship between the industry and the city, including the interactive ways, influencing factors, the characteristics of the industry and the city, promoting measures.The paper based on the theory of city function and its differentiation of space, and the theory of economic special layout. It makes the city function as an entry point, and then summarizes the characteristics of relationship between spaces. It believes that the transformations of urban functions directly result to the change of the relationship between industry and urban space. The changes of city function under the integration of industrialization and urbanization are showed by the emphasis on the producer services function, innovation function and its hierarchical trade. However, besides all of these above, the most critical change is the significant enhancement of the economic functions. So that the relationship of the industry and the urban changes, the core of the change is "Coordination":the coordination of city function, especially between the economic functions and the others, the coordination of economy units and the coordination of factor mobility.The new relationship cored in coordination is a new pattern which integrates the development of industry and the spatial layout of the city. It is conducive to the optimal allocation of resources, make the industry sustainable and the way of urbanization concretely. To promote the new pattern, then the article proposes a series of measures:(1) Strengthen the connectivity between all kinds of planning and perfecting the content of planning;(2) Highlight the leading industries and establish a modern industrial system;(3) Strengthen the functionalization construction in economic units and upgrading the infrastructure and public services;(4) Co-ordinate elements to achieve a free flow of resources;(5) Provide policy support. The innovation of this paper is as follows. First, make the city functions as an entry point to discuss the evolution mechanism how the industrial layout changes when the city functions changed. Second, analyze the meaning of the integration of industrialization and urbanization and its interactive way. Third, explore how to realize the coordinated development of the spatial relationship of the industry and the city produced in the background of the integration of industrialization and urbanization.
