As we all know, the top management team are company strategy makers and the mainsource of continuous competitive that enterprise obtained, nowadays, society is already aknowledge-driven society, the competition between countries, enterprises, in the finalanalysis is the competition of knowledge. Knowledge management is particularlyimportant for the executive team because top management team is a diverse team ofknowledge. At present. The output of the top management team (team learning, innovation,effectiveness) is not perfect, the main reason is that the top management team are not ableto correctly understand and effectively make use of two kinds of knowledge management,which are transactive memory system and the knowledge-sharing, so the top managementteam could not be able to effectively integrate and utilize the knowledge that in teaminternal, and can not improve the team’s output. The effectiveness of the top managementteam is an important aspect of team output, so study the transactive of memory systems,knowledge-sharing and the effectiveness of the top management team has a very importantrole. Based on previous studies, this paper empirical study the relationship between thetransactive memory system, knowledge sharing and effectiveness of the top managementteam, point out the innovation of this paper and shortcomings, and put forward theprospect of further study.First of all,this article study the relevant literature of transactive memory system、knowledge sharing and effectiveness of the top management team and analyzes therelationship between the three. Then presents a theoretical model that can express therelationship between transactive memory system, knowledge-sharing and effectiveness ofthe top management team. Finally, the paper carries on questionnaire survey from the30 top management teams in the Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, hangzhou,Changsha, Hengyang and so on, and disclose the interrelationship between transactivememory system, knowledge-sharing and effectiveness of the top management team andintermediary role of knowledge sharing between the transactive memory system andeffectiveness of the top management team, by using SPSS17.0to analyze the dataobtained,primarily including factor analysis, correlation analysis, regression analysis.The paper obtains the following conclusions, by validating research hypothesis:(1) The transactive memory system has a positive promoting effect on effectiveness ofthe top management team, and Expertise and credibility have significant effect oneffectiveness of the top management team, but coordination has no significant effect oneffectiveness of the top management team.(2) There are differences and relation between transactive memory system andknowledge-sharing, and transactive memory system has a positive influence knowledge-sharing.(3) knowledge-sharing plays intermediary role in the process that transactive memorysystem affects the effectiveness of the top management team.
