The Study On Interactive Development Between Tourism And Urbanism In Zhang Jiajie

Tourism industry, as a kind of culturally-social phenomenon developing into acertain historical phase in human society, is an inevitable product of advancementeconomically and socially in the world. Urbanism is a superior form promoted by humancivilization progress and economic social development. With the enaction and implementof the planning of main functional regions by Chinese government, economic and socialprogress of urban cities in central and western areas would be supposed to seek for newdrive by breaking and surpassing the traditional growth mode of industry economy.Tourism, however, as a new growth mode, is becoming the realest and most effectiveway pushing foe the stride of urbanism. Therefore, how to realize the healthy andinteractive advancement between both is turned out to be the most imperative issuewaiting for being solved. In such industry age, industrialization has made the fastfulfillment of urbanism, while the latter has come into being with the progress of theformer, demonstrating a positive correlation between them. In such modern era, themotives of urbanism result from various reasons, building of the modern service systemfocusing on tourism industry has promoted people’s getting together, thus realize theurbanism quickly. Particularly, in underdeveloped areas, it is of real significance inmoving the urbanism ahead by the tourism instead of industry, which conforms to themodern civilization path as well.This paper takes Zhang Jiajie as an example, with the integrated use of industrialrelevance theory, industrial cluster theory and production city fusion theory, to analyzethe interactive development mechanism between tourism and urbanization. Through thequalitative analysis and empirical research, the paper comprehensively analyzes thepositive role in promoting the development of Zhang Jiajie urbanization by tourism, andthe development of Zhang Jiajie tourism by urbanization in return. This paper revealsthat there is a stable long-run equilibrium relationship, and also a good interactiverelationship between the tourism development and urbanization. Therefore, according tothe status, especially the problem, of the interactive development between Zhang Jiajietourism and urbanization, the paper puts forward the specific measures and suggestionsfrom two aspects that perfecting the function of the tourism town to provide good spatial carriers and extension of the industry chain for the tourism development, and provideindustry support for the urbanization development.This paper selects an economic and social development lagging behind, industrialand agricultural basis relatively weak, located in the Midwest, but blessed with naturalresources, possessing prerequisite for tourism development, regional developmentadvantages and disadvantages of both duality emerging town as the study object, tries toexplore the path to the integration of new urbanization and modern tourism, makes somecomments and suggestions, in order to provide a reference for the development of Zhangjiajie, and also provide new ideas for the economic and social development of theMidwest.
