Construction Of Project Management Maturity Evaluation System And Its Application Research

In the early1990s, the United Nations proposed the concept of “knowledgeeconomy”. Nowadays, we are just in the era of knowledge economy. With the advent ofnew technologies and new production methods, the international competition isbecoming increasingly fierce, at this point, the role of the project became apparent. Theeffective implementation of a good project, allowing organizations to quickly meetmarket demand, improving their strength and adapting to the competitive environment.The project management capability is an ability to make an organization meet marketdemand and improve their strength in the fierce competition environment. The projectmanagement capability is the ability about how a organize successfully reached a seriesof project-related activities. The tool to evaluate the ability of project managementcapacity is the project management maturity model. Through the study of projectmanagement maturity assessment model, it can make the project management capabilityof the organization to effectively improve a firm foothold in the increasingly fierceinternational competition, so this study is very significant.Firstly, this paper explains the background and significance, analyzes the researchstatus and determines the research content, ideas and the research methods; secondly, thepaper describes the objects, fields, meaning, principles and basic methods of the ProjectManagement Maturity. Then on this basis, this paper introduces the theory and methodsof the project evaluation, and it provides a theoretical basis for the evaluation indexsystem of the text to build the project management maturity model; then, we combine theanalytic hierarchy process and multi-level fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method toconstruct a evaluation index system of the project management maturity. We studied theprinciples and ideas of the project evaluation index system, and the selection of theevaluation method; finally, we selected the company of a software field as an object to beevaluated, and we conducted an empirical study with the evaluation index system andevaluation methods. This study shows that the value of project management maturitymodel is the model that can effectively improve the level of project management andcore competitiveness. It enables organizations to maintain a unique advantage in thefierce competition. For our part, the correct usage of project management maturity modelis to combine the model with the actual situation in China. We must build an evaluationmodel which is suitable for China.
