The Research Of Railway Freight Logistics Based On E-commerce

Nowadays， as electronic commerce develops by increasing its scale and relating tomore fields, it brings dramatic changes to the society. The rapid development of modernlogistics industry accelerates the pace of structural adjustment of global industry. As one ofthe most important modes of transportation，railway transportation plays an important role inthe economic reform and development of our country. However, with the development ofmarket economy and transformation of logistic mode, other logistics forms represented byhighway transportation have been greatly improved but the market shares of railway freighthave been reducing. Therefore, in the electronic commerce environment, how to locate therailway freight, how to evaluate the level of development at the present stage, how to improvethe development of the railway freight logistics, which has become important for thelong-term survival and better development of railway freight.Having expounded the significance of railway freight logistics in the background ofelectronic commerce and the analyzed domestic and foreign railway freight operationsituation，the dissertation draws the conclusion that it is necessary for China railway freighttransportation to tend to electronic commerce logistics. Having analyzed the relationshipamong electronic commerce，logistics and railway freight logistics，the dissertation presentsrailway freight logistics theory based on electronic commerce and analyzes the features of thetendency. Having analyzed the current situation of tendency of electronic commerce ofChina’s railway freight logistics，it summarizes the necessity and feasibility of e-commercelogistics. Meanwhile, it summaries the advantages, disadvantages, opportunities and threats ofthe railway e-commerce logistics at present stage by using SWOT analysis method andgives the strategies we should take in different environment of railway freight transport in theprocess of improving electronic commerce. And then it establishes evaluation system ofdevelopment level of China’s railway freight logistics in the electronic commerceenvironment by combining the requirements of the development of e-commerce logistics andrailway freight’s own characteristics. Moreover, it draws the conclusion that the developmentlevel of railway logistics belongs to the "good" rating, in the environment of electroniccommerce at present stage in China by using fuzzy comprehensive evaluationmethod,through the layer analysis model of expert scoring method and the weightedaverage model. Meanwhile, it summaries the factors which have a great influence on thedevelopment of railway logistics in the electronic commerce environment, mainly includingthe security level of electronic commerce system, functional requirements, application level,railway transportation capacity, customer satisfaction, professional skills of staff. Finally it presents the strategies which can be used to improve development of railway freight logisticsaccording to the factors above.With the rapid development of the modern logistics, it is inevitable for railway freight touse e-commerce model, which will have a bright future. If constant progress wants to bereached, it is necessary to have a clear understanding of the reality, feasible developmentstrategies and right force points. This dissertation has a certain reference value and guidingsignificance for the transformation from railway freight to modern logistics in the electroniccommerce environment and for the increase of the market share of railway freight.
