Study On The Development Strategy Of Wuhai Railway Freight Based On SWOT Analysis

The rapid development of China’s economy has greatly impelled the market demand ofChina’s modern freight transportation to be on an unprecedented growth, which has broughtnew opportunity in the development of railway freight. At the same time, joining the WTOofficially make the railway freight transportation enterprise of China stands in the samestarting line with the international freight forwarding business, this is a new challenge for thedevelopment of China railway freight transportation.As the railway freight transportation business of Wuhai development, and the marketcompetition is becoming increasingly fierce, it is necessary to study the transportationdevelopment strategy in order to grasp the trends and development direction in the future,clear the development goals, keep the good momentum of development and a strong positionin the competition.This paper discusses how to use the SWOT strategic analysis method to determine theimportant external opportunities and threats which the railway transportation are currentlyfacing in Wuhai area, and the main internal advantages and disadvantages. They are startsfrom speeding up the development target of railway of Wuhai to make a scientific evaluationon the railway transportation development of Wuhai and trying to use the SWOT quantitativeanalysis model to analysis comprehensively the development of railway transportation inWuhai city. Based on this, we can sure the strategy types and strength and determine thestrategic emphasis and contents in order to make clear the strategic position of railway freighttransportation development in Wuhai, which can research and put forward the strategy:developing modern logistics railway; optimizing transport organization to improve the trafficcapacity; accelerating modernization of railway freight transportation, to give full play to theadvantages of the city, and adjust measures to local conditions, seize the opportunity, fosterstrengths and circumvent weaknesses, make clear the development direction to get the target.
