Research On Development Status And Existing Problems Of Specialized Farmers Cooperatives In Linwei District

With the reform and opening up and the establishment of the market economy system,the household contract responsibility system has effectively promoted the economictransformation and development in rural areas of China. But with the deepening of ruraleconomic reform and development of market economy, small-scale agricultural production,outdated ideas, low-level organization, lack of technical personnel and other issues havealways been plaguing rural economic development and the issues of agriculture, farmer andrural area have become the focus of current economic and social studies. The promulgationand implementation of Law of the People’s Republic of China on Specialized FarmersCooperatives has set specialized farmer cooperatives as the sally port to solve China’s issuesof agriculture, farmer and rural area and build new countryside. The government has playedan important role in the development process of specialized farmer cooperatives by providinga variety of support and preferential policies. Therefore, continuously growing and expandingof specialized farmer cooperatives is realized and gratifying achievements are made, whichhas effectively promoted the development of China’s rural economy under market conditions.However, there are still problems existing in the development of China’s specialized farmercooperatives, such as inadequate economic strength, overall small-scale operation andsubstandard internal operations, uptight interests bond of members and low-level management,seriously restricting the sustainable development of specialized farmer cooperatives.Therefore, the status of specialized farmer cooperatives, existent problems at present andconstraints are understood through visit investigations, and effective countermeasures areproposed in order to be able to provide reference for the development of specialized farmercooperatives in Linwei District, Weinan, promote the long-term development of specializedfarmer cooperatives, and make the cooperatives become the effective carrier to the objectiveof income increase of farmers and production rise of agriculture. Hence, it is of importantsignificance for promoting the healthy development of specialized farmer cooperatives inLinwei District, Weinan. Chapter I is the introduction, which first details the research background, objective andmeaning of the topic as well as the ideas and methods, and then describes the research profileof specialized farmer cooperatives at home and abroad, as well as the innovation andinadequacy of the research.Chapter II mainly elaborates the concepts related to the cooperation, cooperatives andspecialized farmer cooperatives. In the form of contrast, the specialized farmer cooperationare distinguished and understood more specifically; meanwhile, the definition, basic featuresand basic principles of specialized farmer cooperation are sketched out, and a variety ofeconomic theories and modes of specialized farmer cooperatives at home and abroad aremade detailed comparative analysis.Through visit investigations of specialized farmer cooperatives in Linwei District,Weinan, Chapter III fully understands its development profile and basic situation, furtherknows its development characteristics, modes and main role, sums up its constructionachievements, and discusses the feasibility and necessity of its development.Chapter IV has dissected a series of issues existing in the developing process ofspecialized farmer cooperatives in Linwei District as well as the reasons for these issues indetail, and pointed out that although the specialized farmer cooperatives in Linwei District hasbeen developed rapidly in recent years, there are still such issues like small scale, substandardoperating mechanism, insufficient funds; besides, the implementation of the policy is not inplace and the cooperation is not close and so on.Chapter V conducts analysis related to the long-term development of specialized farmercooperatives in Linwei District, which primarily analyzes from the aspects of the goals,objectives, expected benefits, advantages, and the followed principles and the aspects thatstandardized construction should concern.Chapter VI has given suggestions on the development of specialized farmer cooperativesin Linwei District.
