A Study On The Development Path Of Low-carbon Industry In Western Region

In the face of many problems, such as global warming, resources and energy crisis, the deterioration of ecological environment appeared more and more, the concept of low-carbon has been concerned by the countries all over the world and all walks of life. At the same time, the study of the theory and practice of low-carbon development mode reform raised the upsurge. In the western region of China, Industry is one of the most important parts to promote economic development. In the process of economic development, the industry must carry the mission of sustainable development of the western region, by changing the mode of development of extensive type, taking the rode of "low energy consumption, low emission, low pollution". But at this stage, the study on low-carbon r are still in its infancy, and the study on the development is insufficient and unsystematic. According to the domestic and foreign research situation, on the status of the western industrial and carbon emissions, and empirical achievements of low carbon industry in western region analysis, this paper tries to construct a systematic development path for the development of the western low-carbon industry.Basing on the theory of economics, management science, political science, this paper use some methods such as combination of qualitative analysis and quantitative discussion, theory with practice, case analysis to provide an overall and systematic analysis of the development status and path of Western industry. The main innovation is that this paper has proposed low-carbon industry is the inexorable trend of development. And combined with the industrial development in the west, carbon emissions, development path of this stage, this paper makes a creative research on the low-carbon industry of the western region. At the same time, this paper quantitatively analyzes the factors that affecting industrial carbon emissions in Western region by making Kaya identities into operating. This paper also has some shortcomings, such as data collection problems, the lack of investigation, the weaknesses in my theoretical level and scientific research ability.According to the research of low-carbon and low-carbon industry, this paper analyzes the main research achievements at home and abroad, and summarizes focus and characteristics of domestic and foreign research. We find that in the study of low-carbon economy, there are still large differences between our country and international. Foreign research has a strong theoretical and practical background. At present, there have been many developed countries reducing the cost of carbon emission reduction, adjusting development strategy, implementing low-carbon development mode, by formulating relevant policies and international cooperation. Then they make practical research from the legislation, technology, policy etc, so that the low-carbon economy model has more practical significance. At the same time, our home more prefer to qualitative research such as concept, connotation, significance, industry selection, measures of development and so on. But China has made good achievements in coal and electric power industry.At present, the added value of industry in western region are growing faster than the central and eastern region, its per capita carbon emissions and carbon growth rate are higher than the national average. In the face of the waste of resources, the deterioration of ecological environment, carbon dioxide emissions, low value-added status, and pressure from home and abroad, the western region choose the low-carbon industrial road, replacing the current pattern of high-carbon industry, which has extremely significant significance. The main contents are as follows:First, this paper briefly explains the research background, research significance, domestic and foreign research status of low carbon industry, research content and methods, innovations and shortcomings. And analyses the connotation and essence of the low carbon industry, which provides a theoretical basis for the inevitable trend of Low-carbon Industry Development, and the basis and guidance for the low-carbon industry development path of western region.Second, the paper analyses the present situation of industrial development in the western region, and recognizes the main factors that affecting carbon emissions in western region are Value added per capita Industrial and Unit energy consumption of industrial added value by Kaya formula. Basing on the present situation of high energy consumption, high pollution, high emission, this paper presents the development path of the low-carbon industry in the western region, and uses the method of case analysis to show Low carbon industrial experimental results in some areas or enterprises in the western.At last, according to the study of low-carbon industrial path in western region, we can see that opportunities and challenges coexist in western industrial low-carbonization process. This requires the government to play a leading role to improve laws and regulations to use market means to promote the construction of the carbon trading market. Only in this way, we can guarantee low-carbon industrial capital, optimize the industrial structure and energy structure, pay attention to the cultivation of low-carbon consciousness. And then we can explore a low-carbon industrial road, which is diversified, systematic, consistent with western characteristics.
