China’s state-owned enterprises has special social status, which is a kind of enterpriseorganization form based on the national macroeconomic regulation and control and defectsof market economy. At the same time their profits is an important part of national finance.However, along with the further reform of state-owned enterprises, the employees of thoseenterprises whose job satisfaction have varying degrees of decline when faced with theflexible management, increasingly competitive salary and benefits of private sectors. Inrecent decades, researchers have found that motivation is an important means of effectivemanagement to the employees, and empowerment as one of the major incentives, which iswidely used in the human resource management. It is considered that psychologicalempowerment can inspire staffs’ innovation behavior and the intrinsic motivation in orderto enhancing the employee’s job satisfaction. Therefore, study on effect of psychologicalempowerment and Job Satisfaction of State-owned Enterprise is offer a good approach toimprove those enterprises staffs’ job satisfaction.The study reviews the relevant theories of psychological empowerment and jobsatisfaction, be based on existing research results, discussion the problem of howpsychological empowerment affect the different dimensions of job satisfaction. The studysurveys the staffs of four representative state-owned enterprises by choosing suitablematurity scale, collecting the raw data, getting effective questionnaire205, and carrying onthe empirical analysis to verify the relationship between both, and puts forward somemanagement measures and suggestions. The results show that:(1) The state-ownedenterprises staff psychological empowerment have significant positive affection on jobsatisfaction.(2) The different dimensions of the state-owned enterprises staff’ psychologicalempowerment all affects the overall job satisfaction and each dimension, but the impact isdifferent. Working significance has remarkable effect on evaluation and motivation. But tooverall job satisfaction, there are a few positive effects.(3) State-owned enterpriseemployees’ psychological empowerment level differences on the population statisticalvariables, mainly including: gender, age, marriage, working years, degree and position ofdifferences.
