It has brought great changes to the transportation industry since the High-speed Rail intotransportation, and changes the existing mode of transportation competition pattern.High-speed Rail has seized market share in a certain extent form civil aviation, traditionalrailway and highway because of its unique technical advantages. For example,Zhengzhou-Xian High-speed Rail forced Happiness Airlines to give up Zhengzhou-Xian airroute when it was running50days. The High-speed Rail from Beijing to Shanghai also fightsfor the passenger source with parallel Air-line. But the development process of High-speedway is not smoothly. The early input in High-speed Rail construction is huge, how to recoverthe cost becomes the biggest problem what need managers to consider. So the ticket ofHigh-speed Rail is dear than the cost of plane sometimes.Civil aviation has occupied the high-end market in the transportation mode. But it needsto face the overbearing situation from the High-speed Rail. Relying on its business fordecades in the high-end market, civil aviation has accumulated a lot of loyal customersespecially in the long-haul transport. Civil aviation has adopted flexible pricing, added flights,improve the quality of service and other measures, optimized business strategy, readjustingtheir strategies and plans and, other measures. Plus the unique advantage of civil aviation has,effectively deal with the attack from the High-speed Rail. But with consumer identity onHigh-speed Rail, High-speed Rail various system gradually improve and optimize thepropulsion, High-speed Rail and civil aviation competition will be intensified, how to bringabout the greatest benefit in the competition, become a new task put in front High-speed Railand civil aviation management.Based on the analysis of the status domestic research, according to the competitionsituation between High-speed Rail and civil aviation in the present stage of our country, weget the main competition interval between High-speed Rail and civil aviation is900to1300kilometers. When the distance is no more than900km, High-speed Rail is the winner becauseof its advantage in the competition; when the distance is longer than1300kilometers, civilaviation speed advantage and obstacle crossing ability to keep its advantage in the distancecompetition. They both have merits and drawbacks in the distance in the transportation. Andat the same time, they are facing the consumer choice. We analyze several factors influencingcustomer travel choice in this range, including speed, comfort, safety, convenience and price etc.. On such a basis, it needs a time value concept to quantify the factors to price. Calculatethe payment when passengers choose High-speed Rail or civil aviation. Establish benefitmodel of passenger travel. According to the logit model of passenger transport analysispassengers choose, build passenger sharing rate model. Finally, constructs the managementgame model High-speed Rail and civil aviation, equal to total income minus total cost by thetotal profit High-speed Rail and civil aviation, the ultimate game equilibrium are derivedbetween High-speed Rail and civil aviation.According to the results, the following conclusions can be obtained:In the transportation market of middle distance, especially in the high-end market, thegame between High-speed Rail and civil aviation is a duopoly game relationship obviously.Based on the characteristics of duopoly game, we construct a game model in High-speed Railand civil aviation based on price competition. We get an equilibrium price in existingcompetitive of High-speed Rail and civil aviation of maximum interests from the example ofgame of High-speed Rail and civil aviation between Beijing and Shanghai.The final results show that the equilibrium price of High-speed Rail is higher than theactual price now, the civil aviation is opposite. This shows that there is room for priceincreases for High-speed Rail in tends to theory balance, civil aviation should be adjust theprice further. But we should pay attention to another thing, we can say the civil aviationtransport is priced to market, there are a lot of measures to cut prices in the off-season. But thepricing mechanism of High-speed Rail is opaque, and did not respond to market price changes.If there is no change this situation, we have reasons to believe that, High-speed Railcompetitive advantage will no longer exist after several rounds of the game.
