Study On Risk Management Of Reckitt Benckiser In Technological Innovation Process

With the development of economic and change of times, there is big change on thepeople’s consumption concept. For house hold products which are quite close to thepeople’s life, the consumers have higher requirements on product function, efficacy or theinnovation of packaging and appearance. However, current domestic household productcompanies have big restrictions on technological innovation, and the enterprise innovationsystem as these have not been set up and implemented fully. Therefore, this thesis chosetypical household product company-Reckitt Benckiser as example, gave analysis,judgement, assessment and control on the risk factors during the technological innovationprocess in this company, which could avoid the economic losses to the enterprise andincrease the success probability of technological innovation by reducing the risk andimprove enterprise technological innovation risk management.The thesis was maily based on qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis by usingcombination of theoretical studies and mathematical analysis. The author searched andcollected comprehensive study materials related to technological innovation and riskmanagement in household product industy, and summarized the relevant theoreticalresearch results and progress.The thesis has done comprehensive analysis on the riskfactors in different stage, facets, categories during the technological innovation process,which improved the reliability and accuracy of risk management outcomes bycomprehensive analysis on survey results.The thesis found: the risk in technological innovation process in Reckitt Benckiser iscontrollable and preventive. The enterprise should pre-assess and manage the risk inprogress of technological innovation, and reduce the probability of risk according to theevaluation results and attributes of risks in different stage; the uncertain factors intechnological innovation process are decreasing. With R&D projects on-going,uncontrollable factors decreased significantly, and the probability of the risk was reduced.The research can provide a good reference for other household chemicals industry.
