The main characteristics of rural land in China is have a big population and little land,the reserve cultivated land resources are limited.With the acceleration of urbanization, theconstruction land demand surge and takes up a lot of arable land, the sharp contradictionbetween supply and demand of land. At the same time, the rural residential areas arespontaneous, it’s lack of construction planning, many rural settlements scattered layout andused extensive phenomenon widely. Therefore, according to the regional characteristics,and gradually raise the level of rural land intensive, optimizing the land layout, has a greatpractical significance.By learning from domestic and international advanced researchmethods and relevant theories,on the basis of actual investigation, using factor pairedcomparison method and multi-factor comprehensive evaluation method to lucubrate thepresent situation of rural residential areas, the degree of intensive utilization, thepotentiality and evaluation classification, sorting mode, and the policy suggestion of XifengDistrict.Through analyzing we can get the following conclusions:The first part is about rural residential use change analysis of Xifeng district: the ruralresidential area of xifeng district in a decreasing trend from1996to2011, the overallreduced396.37hm2, damped base of4.04%, but the overall is still larger, in total9419.14hm2, accounting for the urban and rural construction land of85.76%.The second part: The rural residents points of the evaluation of Xifeng district and itsvillages and towns, the proportion of not intensive, less intensive, generally not intensive,general intensive and intensive were37.5%,12.5%,12.5%,12.5%and25%, and the averageevaluation scores were0.32,0.45,0.51,0.53and0.70, the overall level is not intensive.The third part: The potential of the rural residential areas in the region is divided intofour grade potential;the town of Dong Zhi is suitable for the first kind of potential area, hasthe biggest potential real potential for774.75hm2,the townships of Pengyuan,Shishe,Houguanzhai and Wenquan are the second category of potential areas, the averagepotentiality is459.92hm2; the townships of Xiaojin and Xiansheng are the third type ofpotential area, the average potentiality is230.80hm2;the potential of West street is minimal,for the fourth class potential areasThe four part is the regional effect research: Analysis the rural residential landconsolidation area from the aspects of economy, society and ecology effect of Xifengdistrict.
