Study On The Impact On Import And Export Of Inbound Tourism In Shandong

Along with a series of encouraging measures aiming at implementation of thetourism industry development, as China’s coastal tourism province of Shandong，withabundant tourism resources and convenient traffic location, the province’s inboundtourism, as an important part of tourism, is developing rapidly. At the same time,Shandong，as a coastal economic province, foreign trade developed by leaps andbounds, the total amount of import and export is increasing rapidly as well.According to relevant theories of tourism economics, most scholars support thatthere is a close connection between inbound tourism and regional economydevelopment, and the entry tourism development often can lead to the development oflocal foreign trade. Whether Shandong province meets the theory, and can we drivethe theoretical research of the development of export-oriented economy in Shandongthrough the development of inbound tourism，the study can provide theoreticalsupport for the development of inbound tourism and economic growth in Shandongprovince in the future planning.Through the collection of related data in inbound tourism and the total amount ofimport and export of17cities in Shandong province from2000to2011, we can findthe same moving tendency, guessing there is a close relationship between the two. Inorder to accurately study the relationship, this article has carried on the quantitativeanalysis. Granger test results show that the relationship between the two main effectson the import and export of inbound tourism. Using the panel data model, the paperdo a series of empirical analysis in the relationship between inbound tourism and thetotal amount of import and export in Shandong province. Quantitative analysisshowed that the equilibrium relationship exists between the province’s inboundtourism and the import and export, the development of inbound tourism has a positiveeffect on import and export. At last, combined tourism resources in Shandongprovince and foreign economic development degree, the paper put forward feasiblesuggestions for the development of inbound tourism in different areas.
