The recent economic crisis has brought huge impact on the globallogistics industry. Slow growth of trading and consuming directly acceleratedthe imbalance between supply and demand in logistics market. In the face ofincreasing fierce market competition, COSCON which is short for COSCOContainer Line is first ranked containerized logistics service provider inChina, need strategy adjustment for extricating himself from situation ofexcess depending on exporting logistics service demand in China market.In this thesis, the research content mainly divided into three parts:The first part, this thesis tries to describe current “Global Carrier”service strategy of COSCON and analyzes the predicament and challengethrough comparison of vertical and horizontal data.The second part of this research is: On the basis of strategicmanagement thought, the thesis points out that the enterprise resourcesscattered and service problem, such as resources separation, informationclosed, management disjointed which have seriously influence achievingeconomies of scale. Logistics service integration strategy should be suitablemethod to solve COSCON future development problem. PEST, MichaelPorter’s Five Forces Model and SWOT are mainly analysis tools used in thispart. The last part of this research is: Based on review of related literatures,this thesis seeks cracking of current management dilemma for COSCON infour aspects: resource integration, management integration, informationintegration, and organization integration. Considering the current businessoperation, this thesis designs COSCON logistics service integration platformand suggests tree-type structure as logistics service network of COSCON.
