A Study On Urbanization Of Henan Province Based On Extension Theory

Urbanization is an important strategy of China’s development, and becomes a hotspot gradually. The development of our nation’s urbanization is during the importantaccelerating period and it is imbalanced: the development of the eastern coastal area isfar advanced than the nation level both in level and speed. Thus, its experiences areunsuitable for other regions for the region discrepancy. As urbanization develops rapidly,the conflicts and problems of the urbanization appeared gradually and they are urgent inthe development planning of urbanization.Firstly, this thesis analyzes the urbanization current situation and theoreticalachievements at home and abroad, and concludes the problems in urbanization and theresearch status of urbanization level. Then extension theory is used in urbanizationstudy. Secondly, after analyzing and concluding the history process and the presentsituation of Henan province’s urbanization, in this thesis, conjugate analysis andextension analysis are used in analyzing the principal contradictions of urbanizationprocess, which includes land expropriation and removal, intensive land utilization andinvestment by using system theory and extension theory. Furthermore, indicators for thefactors influencing urbanization level are found out, and an evaluation index system ofurbanization level is built, combining the connotation of urbanization and formerachievements. Then, superiority evaluation method of extenics which was put forwardby a Chinese scholar is brought into the evaluation of urbanization level, based ontraditional evaluation method. Fuzzy extension evaluation model is established combingthe fuzzy data of removal satisfaction, in order to provide a practical method forurbanization level evaluation. Finally, this model is applied in the empirical research ofLuohe, in which Luohe’s urbanization level is evaluated. According to the main factors influencing Luohe’s urbanization level in the evaluation results, some suggestions aremade including clear city positioning, industrial restructuring, infrastructureconstruction improving, land-use structure adjusting and encouraging socialorganizations joining removals.In this thesis, conflicts and problems of region urbanization are studiedsystematically and region urbanization level is evaluated quantitatively, which cansupport administration department’s management of urbanization. Furthermore, newtheories and methods——conjugate analysis method and extension analysis methodare provided for the administration departments. New methods and models——superiority evaluation method and extension evaluation model are provided for theurbanization level evaluation of other cities. Besides, some suggestions on maininfluential factors are provides as reference for the administration departments.
