Nowadays, in the background of economic globalization and the rapiddevelopment of information technology, the capacity of managing and utilizing data isevolving into an enterprise’s core competitive power. As the main carrier of data, theissue, how to construct and operate data centers of commercial banks, has become thefocus of concern. The rapid development of business requirements, fast iteration oftechnological innovation and increasingly stringent regulatory requirements made anextremely high requirement to the construction, operational methods and securitymanagement of commercial banks’ data centers. The construction of a data center isan extremely large project with extremely high requirements, besides, the operation ofa data center is even harder. From the perspective of domestic and foreign advancedstandards and best industrial practices, against common problems and challengesfaced by data centers, combined with the author’s working experience of constructingand operating a commercial bank’s data center, this dissertation analyzed constructionnorms and practices experience of large financial data centers, apart from that, thispaper discoursed main points of meticulous operational management and summarizedinnovation, effectiveness and experience of construction and operational managementof large financial data centers, in order to form a realistic and relatively completeapproach and practice guidelines related to construction and operational managementof large financial data centers. The purpose of this dissertation is providing valuablesuggestions to construction and operational management of large financial datacenters.
