Along with the continuous economic development, China’s automobileproduction and sales statistical data in2013both exceeded20million, the majordomestic automobile manufacturers have launched many new production basesconstruction projects. Under this circumstance, China’s auto spare part suppliers havealso been through a rapid development, while competitions among auto spare partssuppliers have become fiercer. While the expansion of the new automobile plantproduction base, running the new product projects, vendor supporting thedevelopment and construction work has become particularly important, OEMs willdirectly affect the smooth implementation of the new project, product quality can beeffectively protected. Therefore, how to establish a supplier development projectwhich can fit the automobile manufacturers’ plan has become a valuable research.Quality Function Deployment (QFD), was first appeared in the1960s’ Japan, thedominant factor which lead the emergence of QFD is that the pursuit for a method toimprove quality control in the production in Japan, and later through continuousquality function deployment theory development, the quality of housing and othertechnical means occurs, then converge theory can make the invisible, vague needs ofcustomer turn to tangible, specific product design process.The innovative parts of this paper is the author combine the internship during theautomobile enterprise and the relevant theoretical literature then using the QFD ideasand methods, establish the auto spare parts supplier development projects systemwhich meet the actual needs of enterprises and also closely connected China’s autoparts industry and the automotive industry characteristics, meanwhile this supplierdevelopment project filled vacancy of relevant research and practice. While combinedwith supplier quality management method author put forward supplier developmentproject management strategy. Through the implementation in Shanghai GeneralMotors Wuhan production base verified its good adaptability and practicality.This paper is divided into six chapters, firstly it introduces the topic backgroundand the purpose of the present status of theoretical study and research; The secondchapter introduces the theory which used in this article; The third chapter focuses onthe characteristics and development status of this paper industries as well as researchsubjects. The fourth and fifth chapters is the very key part of this paper, the fourthchapter identified design principles and specific content in auto spare part supplier development system; The fifth chapters applied QFD technology to build auto partssupplier development system, supplier management strategy is given under the actualsituation of automobile enterprises. Last section summarizes the work which has beendone in this article and points out the limitations and lack of the research, and makingan expectation on further study.
