Empirical Research On The Urbanization Effect Of Undertaking Industrial Transfer In Hunan Province

Along with the wave of economic globalization and integration, the central andwestern regions in China have became the main place for undertaking industrialtransfer coming from international and coastal areas, which has greatly speeded up theprocess of new industrialization and urbanization. Presently, some scholars have paidattention to the positive effect of undertaking industrial transfer which could promotethe development of urbanization; they just analyze the economic representationinteraction between industrial transfer and urbanization, but not deeply analyze themechanism between the industrial transfer and urbanization from the micro level.Additionally, from the existing research results, the method of research on therelationship between the industrial transfer and urbanization, there are still manycases discussion and theory summary, which made the accuracy and reliability ofresults get suspicious with less empirical analysis used in industrial transfer and theurbanization. So, this paper explores the connotation of industrial transfer and themechanism of the urbanization effect and constructs the econometric model. TakingHunan Province as an example, this paper tests the urbanization effect for undertakingindustry transfer. Although the current study is still at the exploratory stage, it stillhas a specific meaning for promoting the development theory of industrial transferand the urbanization.Firstly, this paper redefines the connotation of urbanization effect of theindustrial transfer, considering the urbanization of industrial transfer mainly refers topromote the flow of production factors and the transformation of the mode ofeconomic development, especially establishes the agricultural surplus labor to urbanagglomeration and urban lifestyle, which can improve the urbanization level, and thenwe elaborate the function mechanism of urbanization effect for undertaking industrialtransfer from three aspects: the evolution of industrial structure, economic scaleexpansion as well as the flow of production factors, construct the urbanization effecteconometric model, which then establishes the theory system of industrial transfer ofthe urbanization effect. Secondly, we take the time series dates of Hunan province ofundertaking industrial transfer of international and coastal areas, which used tomeasure undertake international and domestic regional industry transfer of technologyspillover effect size respectively. Then take the five regional panel dates ofChang-Zhu-Tan, Donating Lake, central Hunan, southern Hunan, western Hunan,which measure and compare the regional urbanization effect size for undertaking industry transfer among different areas. The results shows there are urbanizationeffect obviously and differently of undertaking industrial transfer both in internationaldeveloped countries and domestic coastal areas.Finally, this paper provide feasiblesuggestions for undertaking industrial transfer and promoting the urbanization processconstruction effectively in Hunan province.
