Study On The Investment Benefit Of Industrial Enterprise Informatization Based On DEA

With the coming of information economy, our government has beenincreasing emphasis on informatization construction, which has been taken asthe great strategy of the state. In recent years, with the implementation of thestrategy of promoting industrialization by information, industrial enterprises arestruggling to promote information technology in order to enhance their marketcompetitiveness and profitability levels, which has achieved remarkableeconomic benefits. However, due to the complexity of the impact of informationtechnology, there is no authoritative methodology for assessing the efficiencyof information technology investment, which has hindered the furtherconstruction of informatization. Therefore, study on the investment benefit ofindustrial enterprise informatization has an important theory significance andpractical merit.The existing research on enterprise informatization mainly centers ondiscussing informatization evaluation index, evaluation methods as well asinformatization strategy. Analysis on the investment benefit of informatization isalso included, but what aspects informatization influences enterpriseperformance and how to evaluate these influences are not included. Thisarticle aims to research the influence mechanism of information technology onthe performance of industrial enterprises, determine how enterpriseinformation technology influence the business performance, and find how toevaluate the investment returns of the industrial enterprises informatization byusing data envelopment analysis and applying statistical methods.This article is consisted of six chapters. Firstly, the article presents thebackground, meanings of this research, current situation of enterpriseinformatization home and abroad, as well as content, methods and innovationof the research. Secondly, the article introduces the basic theory of enterpriseinformatization, including the concept and meaning of enterpriseinformatization. Basic knowledge and common model of DEA theory are alsoincluded here. Thirdly, we study the influence mechanism of enterprise informatization on business performance. Industrial enterprises will be dividedinto two subsystems including the subsystem of production and subsystem ofefficiency. The enterprise performance is decomposed into technical efficiencyand economic efficiency, so that we could measure the performance ofindustrial enterprise informatization by using the two-stage DEA model. Withthe help of analysis of variance to study the difference among the differentperformances of industrial enterprises which under different enterpriseinformationization investment levels, we could determine links in whichenterprise informatization put a significant impact on the business performance.And then this article builds a qualitative and quantitative evaluation indexsystem of enterprise informatization’s benefit. After that, we calculate someeconomic indexes with data envelopment analysis including the effectiveness,the benefit rankings of informatization investment by using the DEA models ofC2R,C2GS2and super-efficiency model, then explore the return to scale ofinformatization investment, and find out how to improve the efficiency andeffectiveness of informatization investment. At last, using the data of Fujianprovince as samples, this article makes an empirical analysis of the return oninvestment of enterprise informatization in Fujian. Finally, we point out thedevelopment direction of enterprise informatization.
