China is a large agricultural nation, and agriculture is the development foundation of national economy and other undertakings. Agricultural informationzation is now the major tends of world’s agricultural development, is the important constituent of our country agriculture modernization, is the important content of socialism new countryside construction. Actively promoting the agricultural informationization is the important way of the realization of our country agriculture spanning development and the solution of “three agriculture” questions. The agricultural informationization will change our country agriculture from traditional and poor cultivation, production and management way to the Internet, networking, electronic commerce etc. information technologies--based modernization agriculture. The agriculture information technology’s vigorous application promotes the Chinese agriculture and farmer’s overall quality fast, has vital significance to the realization of agricultural industrialization, marketization, modernization, rural urbanization and citizenization of farmers.Weifang is situated in the middle of Shandong Peninsula, the whole town gross area 1.58 ten thousand square kilometers, the total population 8,410,000, in which agricultural population 6,430,000 people, has rich agricultural natural resource, the total cultivated area 10,470,000 Chinese acres, is one of Shandong Province’s agricultural big cities, also is Shandong’s biggest agricultural and subsidiary products main production area. This article, through the investigation and analysis to Weifang’s agriculture informationization development present situation and characteristics, try to reveal the problems and the restriction factors existed in the Weifang agriculture informationization development, and explore the suitable agriculture informationization development pattern in weifang. Through analyzing the success experience and the typical agricultural informationization pattern, this article studies and explores the development road of Weifang agricultural informationization, can speed up Weifang information development, promotes the modernization of Weifang city, impels Weifang’s agriculture modernization, may reduce agricultural production investment, enhances the agricultural product quantity and quality, may guide the production and expense of agricultural product and accelerate agricultural product circulation.This paper systematically reviews the status and development of domestic and international agricultural informationization, comprehensively analyses the development process, construction mode, running pattern of Weifang agricultural informationization and the problems existed in the development; taking a large amount of data as the basis, using the method of the combination of theory and practice and the research method from the general to the specific, adopting the method of questionnaire, literature analysis to acquire a large amount of detailed data and empirical analysis, this paper draws the conclusion. Put forward the "five articles" basic principles of agricultural informatization construction in Weifang city and the "seven articles" implementation strategy in the process of agricultural informationization construction. And these have a strategic significance and practical significance for the improvement of agricultural informatization level and the promotion of rural industrialization and urbanization construction in Weifang city.This article consists of seven parts.
