With the advent of the mass tourism in China, more and more users plan their travels through online travel websites. Since last year, in order to maintain and attract users, more and more online travel websites use price war to stabilize their marketplace. However, after they tried numerous blindly pricing strategy, the travel websites haven’t achieved greater chance of winning. Even worse, some sites were forced to close down because of funding issues.Given such situation, this study is based on website evaluation, combined with Webometrics, selecting infrastructure, web content and user behavior to construct an evaluation system of online travel market. Besides, the system uses expert evaluation survey to weight every indicators of the three perspectives. At last, the study verifies, compares and analyzes 30 online travel websites, and the result is given in the study.This paper consists of five chapters, each chapter are as follows:Chapter One, Introduction. The background and significance of the research described with reference to the research status, while the object of study to define, research methods outlined herein. Finally, innovation of this paper.Chapter Two, Study review. First, the paper illustrates the theory related to Webometrics, at the same time, the paper states the impact factors of professional commercial websites. Then, the study summarizes the impact factors of webometrics based websites. At last, the paper classifies OTA websites pattern.Chapter Three, Evaluation system. Firstly, the paper states the evaluation objectives and principles of constructing and the evaluation system is based on these. Then, weight is given to each indicator through expert evaluation. At last, weight is calculated by synthesis weights.Chapter four, examples of verification. The paper validates 30 OTA websites, obtaining data for every indicators Webometrics. Then, using the weight from Chapter Three to compare and analyze the data.Chapter five, Conclusion. There are two sections in this chapter. First, the paper summarizes the main research. Secondly, this study describes the deficiencies and gives research prospects.
