In 2015 China’s NPC and CPPCC, Premier Li Keqiang stressed the need to promote the industrial structure towards the end to transfer our country from a big manufacturing country to a powerful manufacturing country. The Pearl River Delta region, China’s third largest economy of the urban economic circle, whose economic development has attracted much attention. However, research specialized in the linkage development between manufacturing industry and logistics industry in the Pearl River Delta region is relatively scarce. Based on this, this paper selects the linkage development between manufacturing industry and logistics industry in the Pearl River Delta region as the research objectThis paper first defines the connotation between industry linkage and industry development, discusses the relationship of the linkage development between manufacturing and logistics industry (To comply with the demand theory, supply theory, interaction theory, analysis of merging and the source of profits), research methods and research content of problems, mode and spatial layout, and related research literature of development of manufacturing industry and logistics industry, and linkage development the two industries in the Pearl River Delta Region. Secondly, it analyzes the evolution of industrial structure, the current situation of manufacturing industry and logistics industry and the linkage development manufacturing industry and logistics industry in the Pearl River Delta region; thirdly, it uses the input-output model of the direct consumption coefficient, total consumption coefficient, influence coefficient, sensitivity coefficient to analyze the industry association of the linkage development between manufacturing industry and logistics industry in the Pearl River Delta region; Next, it uses spatial analysis model, from the spatial distribution characteristics of manufacturing industry and logistics industry, the space simulation, spatial agglomeration in four aspects of discrimination, identification of spatial distribution uniformity, to study the spatial layout of linkage between manufacturing industry and logistics industry in the Pearl River Delta region; finally, it proposes suggestions for the linkage development between manufacturing industry and logistics industry in the Pearl River Delta region from two aspects of government and enterprises..After combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis, it gets the main conclusions as follows:(1) the logistics industry pulling effect on manufacturing industry increases year by year, but the manufacturing industry pulling effect on logistics industry is on the decline, which indicates that manufacturing industry and logistics industry are in the process of linkage development, but the manufacturing industry occupies a dominant position; (2) the development of the manufacturing industry of the whole economy plays a very important function and role, which is the pillar industry of the Pearl River Delta region, and the logistics industry plays a role in promoting and pulling the overall economic development, but the pulling effect is not enough; (3)dispersion degree and difference of the geographic distribution of logistics industry are higher than manufacturing in the Pearl River Delta Region, which are shown in the Pearl River Estuary as the center, radiation decreased to around, two industries agglomeration characteristics have high consistency in the spatial distribution.
