Employee training has always been an important subject in the field of human resource management, with the increasingly fierce competition in all walks of life, its importance is growing. Many famous companies get benefit by employee training, but some enterprises get poor result in fact. Therefore, the enterprise needs to know that whether employee training in favor of the improvement of job performance. Research of staff training mainly focused on training theory and the qualitative analysis of training effectiveness. The empirical research mainly focuses on the objective data in the process of training practice, but it pay little attention to employees’personal feeling. Researches of the specific relationship between employee training and job performance have two genre, some of them consider training as part of HRM, others regard training as an independent sector. Also there are some scholars think that employee training is beneficial to job performance, and the process is intricacy.Based on employees’ perception, this article examines the specific relationship between employee training and job performance, and it also explores how job engagement affects that relationship. The finding of this study could contribute to the success of employee training, and then improve their job performance. It has practical meaning to the management practices. First, based on the literature review, including employee training, job engagement and job performance, we found the relationship of staff training and job performance not consider employees’personal feeling, and also reckon without job engagement as mediating variable. Questionnaire item are from maturity scale, preliminary research stage improved item expression and some redundant item, formal investigation stage distributed 470 questionnaires and 378 valid questionnaires. Then use SPSS17.0 to deal with data, including descriptive statistical analysis, reliability analysis, validity analysis, correlation analysis and regression analysis. The result shows that high-level employee training not only improves employees’ job engagement, but also enhances their job performance. As for job engagement, it exerts certain mediated effects on the relationship between employee training and task performance, but has no effects on the relationship between employee training and contextual performance. The finding of this study could contribute to the success of employee training, and then improve their job performance. It has practical meaning to the management practices.
