Mesozoic employees are a number of people whose work seniority are about five to ten years.They can affect the enterprise’s core competitiveness and they are mainstay in the enterprise.Their staff positions are across the grass-roots workers, lower-level managers, middle managers and even senior managers. While the past five years, China’s GDP is still holding high growth momentum, but the Job burnout and turnover rate have been increased, "The Chinese Report for job burnout Survey(2014)" shows there are 74.6% of respondents who worked tirelessly, They showed mental and physical exhaustion, disgust work without passion, and even alienated collective resignation phenomenon. This has seriously affected the employees’career development and the competitiveness of enterprises. Through the surbey of the Mesozoic staffs’working status to find out their reasons for burnout, to propose a solution to solve the burnout phenomenon.It has great value for reducing wastage and improving business productivity.In the study of the theory of job burnout, firstly, the study of enterprise employees are rare.This article defines the enterprise Mesozoic staff innovatively and uses it as the research subjects; Secondly, few scholars have used Hackman & Oldham’s job characteristics dimensions to explore the impact of the relationship between job characteristics and job burnout. And almost no one has used the psychological contract as an intermediary variable to find out the influence mechanism. It examines the the applicability of foreign mature scales for Chinese employees and also broadens the idea of job burnout antecedents and intermediary variables.Firstly,on the base of the previus literature review and summary, concluding the definiton,theories, dimensions, and related variables of job characteristics, psychological contract and job burnout. Proposed three main hypotheses and 15 sub-hypothesis, formed the theoretical research framework.Secondly, through a questionnaire survey to Mesozoic employees,there are total 347 questionnaires, which effectively asked 315 copies and 251 valid questionnaires. Then using SPSS 19.0 for reliability and validity analysis, correlation and regression analysis,and parts of the research hypothesis are adopted.(1) The operating characteristics have a significant negative impact on job burnout. (2) The operating characteristics have a significant positive impact on the psychological contract(3) The psychological contract fully mediated the impact of job characteristics and job burnout.(4)The influence for Five dimensions of job characteristics to the three dimensions of job burnout, there are dozens of hypothesis testing negative effectFinally, it describes the findings and conclusions and put forward the suggestions to management, points out the innovation, the limitations and prospects for future research directions.
