Empirical Study Of The Vertical Integration Of Mineral Resource-based Enterprises For The Sustainable Growth Ability

Enterprises growth is an important area of research in strategic management. No matter the nation or the enterprise itself are very concern about the sustainable growth of the mineral resource-based enterprises. This thesis from the current reality ofthe current mineral resource-based enterprises, discusses the mineral resource-based enterprise vertical integration effects on enterprise sustainable growth ability. Due to mineral resources are very rare, so the mineral resource-based enterprises with the industry chain upstream and downstream enterprises should not only by competition for resources, but also involved in the competition of the industrial chain link. So this article explores the problems has reference significance for the development of mineral resource companies.First of all, based on the previous literature and classical, discusses the theoretical relationship between vertical integration and corporate sustainable growth ability. Secondly, based on the mineral resources industry environment and industry chain form, this thesis analyzes the enterprise to take the reason of vertical integration. And the generating mechanism of mineral resource-based enterprises sustainable growth ability were analyzed, and the establishment of a relevant index system. Again, this paper use principal component analysis method to get the comprehensive score of enterprise the sustainable growth ability, anduse thevalue-added method (VAS) to measure the vertical integration index, and mineral resource-based listed companies panel data 2009-2013 for empirical analysis. After data screening got 81 listed companies, a total of 405 samples of observations, vertical integration of mineral resources firms impact on the sustainable growth ability.According to the results of this empirical study of discussion, this paper get the main conclusion are:(1)The mineral resource-based enterprises, the overall level of vertical integration of listed companies decreased slowly after the first rise. (2) The mineral resource-based enterprises degree of vertical integration and enterprise sustainable growth ability is positively correlated. (3) whether the state-owned holding company or non-state-owned holding company, its vertical integration index of enterprise sustainable growth ability has a significant role in promoting.Finally, this article gives some suggestions from the enterprise strategic decision and the government on the perspective of industry decision-making and legislation for the sustainable development of mineral resource-based enterprises, and the lack of the research of this paper is summarized,and the futureis prospectedbased on the research...
