Commercial banks include three business parts, which are intermediary bossiness, asset bossiness and liability business. In recent years, the intermediary business has quickly become the new profit growth point of commercial banks in China and the focus of competition because of its low risk and high yield.But now, irregular charge and false prosperity behind the development exitsing in the intermediary business of China’s commercial banks leads to social discontent. In order to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of bank customers,ensure the fair charge of intermediary business of commercial bank and maintain orderly competition among intermediary business, thorough research on intermediary business problems and regulation is required.This article analyzes intermediary business charge from the theory, the present situation, the specific cases and other aspects.The theory is mainly based on the traditional public theory and regulatory economy theory.Analyzing the necessity of regulatory charge from the aspects of market failure and the economic interests. This paper explores the current problems existing in the intermediary business charge by analyzing the intermediary business charge of commercial banks and actual case.This article attempts to perform in-depth analysis of the reasons for the problems and lay a solid foundation for providing countermeasures and suggestions from the aspects of regulatory agencies, social supervision, the banks and so on.Through systematic analysis, this paper argues that the key to normalizing the intermediary business charge of commercial banks is regulation.Meanwhile,strengthening the capacity of social supervision and internal management of banks.A three-prong approach enables a healthy and sustainable development of the intermediary business charge and a stronger competitive ability.
