Relative to the importance of tourists’ educational perception, it is lack of special research of self-guided interpretation system. There is no paper analyze the educational function of the self-guided interpretation system, consider tourists’ perception as a dimension.Selecting Pingyao ancient city as the research based on above purpose, which is profound in history and culture. With tourists’ utilization to self-guided interpretation system in this old city as the breakthrough point, investigate the present situation of the self-guided interpretation system of Pingyao——setting status, advantages and disadvantages. Through questionnaire to organize data——the classification of tourists’ perception to the self-guided interpretation system of Pingyao、the tourists’ difference based on educational perception to the self-guided interpretation system——social and economic characteristic (age、occupation、income、 level of educational、family structure、touring times、touring purpose), the educated tourists’ degree of perception to the self-guided interpretation system、the educated tourists’perception degree of educational and cultural to the self-guided interpretation system and his opinion.Then, evaluating the influencing factors of tourists’ educational perception to the self-guided interpretation system, using SPSS16.0 software to analyze the survey data, receive the correlation between tourist’ difference and perception to the self-guided interpretation system. Next, to utilize the stepwise regression method, analyze the degree of related influence factors of tourists’ educational perception to the self-guided interpretation system of Pingyao.Research conclusions, it is different from influence factors on tourists’ satisfaction to interpretation system. It is significantly related between touring times、level of educatio、family structure、occupation and tourists’ educational perception to the self-guided interpretation system, in which, the touring times have the greatest impact. There’s significantly correlation between touring times、touring purpose and tourists’educational and cultural perception to the self-guided interpretation system, in which, the touring times still have the greatest impact. In view of the time and scope of the investigation and the questionnaire content settings, we can’t purely prove that other aspects have nothing to do with the tourists’educational perception to the self-guided interpretation system of Pingyao.Finally, according to the related influence factors and tourists’ opinion, from two aspects, the characteristics of Pingyao and tourists’demand respectively, to put forward the optimization of the self-guided interpretation system based on tourists’educational perception.By analyzing and optimizing the self-guided interpretation system based on tourists’educational perception, look forward to apply to the self-guided interpretation system of Pingyao, deepen tourists’educational perception, making the ancient city development better in the future.
