Cloud manufacture has been proposed as an advanced manufacturing mode along with the development of cloud computing, cloud security, networking and high-performance computers. It draws on the idea of cloud computing which virtual computing resources for the "cloud" together then provide services for user according to their needs. This manufacturing model solves the current networked manufacturing system lacks of the idea of "focus resources together and decentralized use". It can provide users with dynamic solutions and solve the technical problems of current network manufacturing mode. In this paper, organization mode of product R&D in cloud manufacturing is studied, specific content as follows:Firstly, background and significance of the research is described, and a large number of domestic and foreign literatures are reviewed which covers cloud manufacturing, service configuration of R&D manufacturing resources and virtual enterprise co-operative game. Then the framework of the objective, the main studied contents and research methods were introduced as soon as the basis theoretical of this paper.Second, start from the design of the product development platform under cloud manufacturing environment, based on analysis of the evolution of product development mode and the characteristics of cloud manufacturing compared with other advanced manufacturing mode a framework of product development platform under cloud manufacturing environment has been constructed. Then the function and operation process of the product development and research platform in cloud manufacturing is introduced. At last, summarizes the key technology which the product development and research platform in cloud manufacturing needs.Thirdly, make a study of the service path optimization of the vast amounts of resources which the product development and research platform in cloud manufacturing integrates. Divide the process of service optimization of the product development and research platform in cloud manufacturing into two phases, which includes resources configuration and path optimization. Preferred stage for the service from six to establish a path to reflect the service’s evaluation system QoS constructed path optimization model of manufacturing resource services, and gives the preferred method for solving path based on gray correlation analysis. Finally, the correctness of the service resource optimization allocation model is verified by the case of development and research of large equipment in a project.Finally, after the portfolio optimization of the product development and research in cloud manufacturing, the optimal path resource companies will end up as a virtual enterprise to complete a common developing task. Using game theory methods to analysis the virtual enterprise collaboration strategy, compares the virtual enterprise co-operative game model in cloud manufacturing with the traditional virtual enterprise co-operative game model, draw conclusions that the building of the product development and research platform in cloud manufacturing can can increase the virtual enterprise information sharing,reduce the cost of virtual enterprise information sharing and through the establishment of a third party to oversee regulatory cooperation between the virtual enterprise. Thus avoid the virtual enterprise cooperation “Prisoner’s Dilemma”.
