As a special function area, the industry gathering area has played an important role in the regional city and economic development. After a 60-years development since the early years of the foundation of our country, industry gathering area has entered into a stable development stage. But under the impact of the early development zone mode, problems are obvious in spatial planning of the industry gathering area:spatial construction of city cannot keep up with the spatial construction of the industrial area. The problems are manifested as follows: unreasonable land-use structure within the industry gathering area, the deficiency of public service facilities, poor ecological environment and low attraction etc. Under the requirement of new development, a new development mode based on "City-Industry Integration" will be a main stream during the construction progress of industry gathering area. The essay focuses on the research of the spatial planning within the industry gathering area in the perspective of "City-Industry Integration". Then it made a deep research of Suzhou Industrial Park concerning the planning and construction of the "City-Industry Integration". And after the analysis of its developing progress and experience, the paper comes up with a spatial planning strategy which shall be practicable for the "City-Industry Integration" of our industry gathering area. The main research contents are as follows:Firstly, The paper identify the key point and direction of the research on the basis of a systematical analysis of existing research theory.Secondly, the paper analyzes the existing problems in terms of the relationship between the construction of the industry gathering area and regional development, the functional division of the land-use within the area, the supply of public service facilities, internal transport system and the construction of ecological landscape. These problems are manifested as the separation with regional development, unreasonable functional division within the area, deficiency of public service facilities, incomplete internal transport system, outdated construction of ecological landscape etc. The paper also analyzes the cause of these problems and points out the trend of the construction of industry gathering area. Then, it emphasises on the research of the "City-Industry Integration" of Suzhou Industrial Park analyzing its development progress and spatial planning. Then made a summary of the developmental experience of its "City-Industry Integration" in terms of its integration with the main city as well as within itself. Meanwhile the paper made a deep analysis of the spatial integrating experience within the industrial park concerning the functional mixing of the land-use, the sharing of public service facilities, the construction of internal transport system and ecological landscape.Lastly, theoretically researches are extended on the basis of the planning experience of Suzhou Industrial Park "City-Industry Integration" and general strategies of the spatial planning are pointed out within the industry gathering area in the perspective of "City-Industry Integration" which will be manifested as follows. Facilitating the spatial integration between industry gathering area and the main city from three aspects:coordinate planning, the strengthening of regional transport connection and the perfection of infrastructure; And promoting spatial integration of the city and industry within the industry gathering area from four aspects:the functional mixing of the land-use, the completion of the public service facilities system, the perfection of the internal transport system and the improvement of ecological landscape.
