Study On City-Industry Integration Planning In The North Industrial Area Of Jiaxing Economic And Technol Ogical Development Zone

The North Industrial Area of Jiaxing Economic and Technological Development Zone was located in the periphery of Jiaxing city. Since establishment, it has always been the core block of municipal industrial economic development, and has made indelible contributions to the rapid economic development of Jiaxing. However, with the rapid economic development and urban expansion, the boundary between the North Industrial Area and citizens'living area has become increasingly blurred, which inevitably lead to various contradictions. In response to four main contradictions within the studied industrial area, namely:contradiction between serious environmental pollution and its important economic status; contradiction between the large demand on facilities and the insufficient facilities in reality; contradiction between sufficient green resources and low-quality landscaping, contradiction between inefficient land use and the wish to increase the land value, this study puts forward the corresponding suggestions as following:First, taking the concept of "City-Industry Integration" as the instruction, the industrial and spatial layout of the studied industrial area should be reframed, to improve landscape quality and to construct green network; Second, utilizing water resources and strictly controlling the corridors, the architectural conditions in the surrounding areas of main arterial would be improved; Third, based on the current land uses, the community centers should be set up reasonably, and the supporting facilities should be improved; Finally, by the integration of the sporadic lands and revitalization of the stock of land, the land value in surrounding areas would be increased. Through a series of planning tools of "City-Industry Integration" concept, this study aims to provide references for promoting integration and mutual improvement of industrial programs and city functions, as well as for achieving a harmonious development of industrialization and urbanization of Jiaxing city.
