As the effect of China’s traditional cultural and a variety of reasons, the staff usually tends to be cover-up and disguise and even hushes up the potential problems which existing in the company. Employee silence is not only harmful to the employee’s physical and mental health,but also reducing the organization’s innovation and vigor affecting the quality of the organization of internal communication,decision-making and job performance,increasing the cost of enterprise management. Therefore,the employee silence behavior has caused attention of many scholars, management psychology sciences and managers. It has become a new research hotspot. Previous studies have focused on organizational culture, employee satisfaction, organizational environment and silence caused by staff themselves. However, based on the factors of our traditional culture effects to the employee silence behavior,the studies in the current academic circles is relatively scarce. There are some studies on variable impacts such as the traditional culture of human face, circle culture to the employee silence, there is the lack of theoretical research and empirical analysis system.This dissertation uses the cultural dimensions theory,organization behavior theory as the guidance, bases on careful combination and summarization of the domestic and abroad reference,subjects the Chinese traditional culture and the internal organization of employee silence behavior,explores the relationship between traditional culture and Employee Silence Behavior. First of all, I use the method of theoretical research to summarize on related theories bettewm traditional culture and employee silence. Secondly, I define the circumscription of traditional culture and employee silence and put forward 11 hypothesis based on reference and analysis. In addition I refer CULTURE AND ORGANIZATIONS:SOFTWARE OF THE MIND written by Geert Hofstede and develop Traditional Culture Scale. I refer Employee Silence Scale which developed by Zhen Xiaotao and compile the initial questionnaire. A formal questionnaire has been determined by the process of pre-survey, reliability,exploratory factor analysis and revise of initial questionnaire. Finally,I test the 11 hypothesis and come to a conclution of the relationship between traditional culture and employee silence behaviors according to questionnaire survey, data collection and sorting, use of correlation analysis and regression analysis.The results of the study is:it has obvious canonical correlation relationship between traditional culture and employee silence in china. Among them, power distance and disregard, acquiescence,defensive silence behavior have a significant positive correlation. Collectivism and the disregard silence do not have significant correlation. Collectivism,the acquiescent silence and defensive silence have significant correlation. Long term orientation has no significant correlation with the disregard silence. It has significant correlation with the acquiescent silence, defensive silence showed a significant positive correlation. Power distance, collectivism effect on acquiescent silence behavior is greater than its effect on the disregard silence and defensive behavior. Long-term orientation mainly affects employee defensive silence behavior. Moderating variables does not have significant mediation effect except position variable.
